From CLASM
Copyright Licensing Applications using SWORD for Moodle
This project will develop a SWORD plugin for the Moodle VLE, using recently developed PHP libraries, so that objects in the VLE can be easily deposited in common OA IRs. It will further extend the efficacy of this approach by developing from the plugin an application to support deposit of Copyright Licensed materials from VLE to IR, addressing the restrictions and requirements of the Copyright Licensing agreement.
We intend to demonstrate this feat such that learning materials will slide effortlessly from a Moodle VLE to a EPrints or DSpace repository using SWORD, specifically the SWORD PHP libraries. Once communication has been established we will extend the approach to specifically address the requirements of managing CLA materials.
CLASM is funded by JISC under the Repositories and Preservation Programme 12/08 call for Rapid innovation projects.
The project is being undertaken jointly by ULCC's Digital Archives and E-learning departments.
